The Museum in located in the ex Monastery of Santa Maria in Porto, also named Loggetta Lombardesca built between 1495 and 1525.

Temporary and important art exhibitions take place here with the permanent Collections also:

ancient Collection with works from the XIV to the XVIII century;
modern Collection with works from the beginning of the '800 to the first half of the '900;
contemporary Collection with works from the half of the '900 within today.

The famous statue of Guidarello Guidarelli of Tullio Lombardi (1525) is located here.
