How to reach Ravenna

Italy tourism: how to reach Ravenna, Italy. Hotels in Ravenna centre.

Dear Customer, we are hereby providing some tourist information on Ravenna.

The town of Ravenna is situated in the North east of Italy, about 80 kilometres from Bologna, the main provincial town of the Emilia Romagna region, 120 km South of Venice, and 55 km North of Rimini.

It is possible to reach Ravenna either by air, arriving at the nearby airports listed below, or by train (both the Hotel Centrale Byron and Hotel Bisanzio are near the station), both by car and by ship (Port of Ravenna).

Airports near Ravenna.

The Guglielmo Marconi airport of Bologna, the main one in the region, is about 90 km from Ravenna. From the airport of Bologna it is possible to reach:

Ravenna by car on the motorway (approx. 1 hour) or by train ( approx. 2 hours depending on the connections).

The other leading airports from which to reach Ravenna are: the Giacomo Ridolfi airport of Forli that is about 30 km from Ravenna; the Fellini airport of  Rimini Miramare at a distance of about 60 km. Which are all airports located less than an hour by motorway from Ravenna.

The Milan Malpensa airport and the Milan Linate airport can be reached on the motorway in about 4 hours; the Rome Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci airport is about 5 hours by car;  Marco Polo  Venice airport is about 2 hours by car.

The tourist arriving by train will arrive at Ravenna station and they then can walk to the Hotel Centrale Byron and Hotel Bisanzio with the station at their rear, or by taxi.

The tourist arriving in Ravenna will find that it is connected to the Italian motorway network by means of two links with the A14 e and with the main road network and the SS309 road, as well as with the Ravegnana from Forli' road, the Dismano and the E45 road from Cesena and with the Adriatic main road from Ferrara and from Rimini.
