Dear Motorbike riders and motorcycle clubs, Ravenna, Italy is a natural stopping point for bike riders travelling alone or in a convoy and our hotels offer ideal bed and breakfast accommodation and they give the advantage of their city centre location.

Interesting routes .

Our reception can inform You about the interesting routes in our region.

 Starting from the South west, and rotating in a clockwise direction to the north west, you will take in the Marchigiano Apennines, the Cesenate Apennines, Forli Apennines, the Ravenna Apennines and the Bologna Apennine tract, that surround the Romagna plains; while to the North east and east we find the Delta del Po park, the Comacchio and Ravenna valleys, the Ravenna pine forest, with the sea beyond this. ( see map 1 or 2. ).

The Apennines are crossed by numerous passes which converge onto the Ravenna plains, and then on towards Ravenna.

They are all mountain roads, that are fairly remote and traffic free, and full of bends and counter-bends, boasting beautiful scenery, and dotted with mountain restaurants that are renowned for their excellent Marche, Romagna or Bologna style cuisine, and where the food is still authentically wholesome.
 
These are the routes most favoured by motorbike riders, and we shall therefore list the main passes for the convenience of our guests:

- the numerous mountain routes that link the area of Urbino with the Romagna plains touching on San Marino;

- the Mandrioli pass to Bagno di Romagna;

- the Carnaio pass to Santa Sofia;

- the Muraglione pass to Rocca San Casciano, ad then for Forli;

- the Colla di Casaglia pass to Brisighella;

- the Sambuca Pass to Palazzuolo sul Senio, then to Casola Valsenio and Riolo Terme;

- the Futa Pass, to Fiorenzuola and Imola.

Then comes a moment of relaxation and entertainment and the centre of Ravenna with its pedestrian zone, and with its host of shops and monuments.

Where to park Your bike

Parking is not a problem for the guests of the Hotel Centrale Byron and Hotel Bisanzio.

Bikers can reach the hotels on their bikes to unload/load their luggage.

On arrival the reception staff, will advise them on where to park near the hotel or an associated garage or a public square: Ravenna being a small and very safe town.

The time to relax 

After parking in a safe place, it is then possible to forget your bike: as everything is within easy walking distance of the Hotel Centrale Byron or  Hotel Bisanzio: whether it be restaurants, shops or monuments, or the Piazza del Popolo (the meeting place of the locals) in order to truly experience and understand the history and traditions of Ravenna.
