We have proposed an itinerary that takes in both past memories and reality; allowing one to lose oneself in the atmosphere of a town which is apparently modern and pleasant, but which hides unique treasures of past eras.
This explains some of the sensations experienced by visitors to Ravenna who wander along the town streets, and who, when twilight comes, notice the silence that descends on the town, a town that has been created in the image of man.
Try taking a stroll on a summer’s evening: the atmosphere is totally indescribable: the balconies emerge, which go unnoticed during the day, the wonderful perspective of streets and buildings and alleys, which have changed little from how they were centuries ago. If you listen carefully, you will hear the voices of past time, of great lovers and of the mighty and you will for a moment feel eternal.
