The Archiepiscopal Museum is situated in Piazza Arcivescovado, next to the Cathedral, and it is located in the ancient Archibishop's palace of Ravenna.
It contains a lot of works of great importance from the paleochristian era, among which we remember the ivory Chair of Massimiano, work of Byzantine artists of the VI century d.C..
In the same complex are the Archiepiscopal Archive and the Oratory of S. Andrea (Achiepiscopal Chapel), with mosaics dated the beginning of the VI century d.C.
